Southern Sounds Lunch - Saturday

Several are coming from out of town who would like to meet for lunch on Saturday for some face time. If there are any of you girls out there who were in Southern Sounds who would like to join Sharon Lambright, Cindy Moore, Lynda Treece et al........ PLEASE RESPOND. We'll let you know the time and place!!! Probably 11:30....probably Marketplace Grill.

Do any of you all remember Joey Szcerba? I think that he was the one person that I hung out with the most. Sure miss going to Ft. Smith and spending time with him I think of him quite often, remembering good times at school, church, athletics and just hangin out. Good to see all of your comments. Hope to see all of you in July.

Mike,

Mark Randall had brain cancer. I hadn't seen Mark but a few times since High School, but remained very good friends with his brother, Brad. Brad had told me of Mark's condition, then it seems like no time had passed and he was gone. I had known Mark since we were 6 or 7 years old and even though we lost touch, I'll always feel I lost a good friend.

I did not know, until I got on this website, that Elise Bedwell had died. Elise and I went through most of our years of school together, from 1st grade in Bonneville through Graduation at Southside. I moved to Rogers for all but the Sr. year of HS, but when I returned, my old friends took me right back in the fold. I'm kind of looking forward to this reunion... will be nice to see if everyone changed as much as I did! *S*

Hi everyone.

I love the respect being demonstrated for our dear friends and former classmates. Thanks for allowing me to participate with you.

Mark Randall - He attend Tulane University while I was at Loyola, both in New Orleans. An English Lit major if I remember correctly. I am fairly certain that Mark died of stomach cancer which was detected late.

Diane Smith - What a sweetheart she was. I believe she was a teacher and married to a football coach at the time of her fatal automobile accident.

I'll reconfirm all of this.

Hi,

Seems I remember hearing that Gary Lewis died in some sort of Boating/Drowning accident in the summer of '75. Does anyone know more?

We just had a planning meeting and Johnny Cole brought a list he compiled of missing classmates. I added a link to a google spreadsheet on the left menu bar and called it Missing People Info! (I need to figure out how to do this better). There's a phone number for Keith Broadwater - hope it's the right one!

About to let you all know where we stand so far. Things are starting to come together!

4. What kind of car did you have? Only had one Sr year, it was a Rambler - hand me down car.

5. What kind of car do you have now? Red HHR, Red Yukon, & Silver Silverado PU
6. It's Friday night...where were you? If I was out I was probably cruising Grand

7. What clubs were you in? NONE
8. What kind of job did you have in high school? secretary/receptionist/office clerk
9. What kind of job do you do now? CPA
11. Were you considered a flirt? HA! Nope. More the wall flower type.
12. Were you in band, orchestra, ROTC, or choir? None
13. Were you a nerd? Oh yeah.
14. Did you get suspended or expelled? NO
15. Can you sing the fight song? If someone started it I might be able to join in, otherwise no.

Hi Robert, I hear you and my wonderful husband Chris have been in touch.

I am surprised you haven't received more answers to your ?. I've been away for a long time, but here is the little I know: I think that Elise Bedwell either had an aneurism or fainted and hit her head while visiting the hospital when Kirby Lockhart passed away. It seems that I remember Diane Smith was killed in a car wreck not too many years out of high school. And I believe Mark Randall died of a heart attack. Hopefully if I am in error, it will be corrected.

I am finding that seeing pictures posted here and on facebook from back when really enables my decaying brain cells to remember more and more. You know THEY say that when you process new ideas it makes new neurons fire and increases your brainpower! So POST THOSE PICS! Do it for the good of your fellow classmates!
