Connie Miller Tanner

Well, I stayed in the area just like my older siblings. Married Tim Elkins from Van Buren in 1980 and had two children Daniel and Michael. We divorced in 1988 and I remained single until October of 1997 when I married Ronny Tanner also from Van Buren (I see a pattern!) I also met both of my husbands at work. (I didn't get out much either!). I definitely got it right the second time around. We have about 2 1/2 arces north of Van Buren and we love to fish, take our travel trailer camping, mess with our animals and spend time together. My mom is still living in the house I grew up in my dad passed away in 1989 and we lost my grandmother at the age of 103 in 2010 and lost my brother Rick in April 2011 I have an older sister Gail. In November of 2004 I had a heart attack which really made me take a step back. I smoked for 27 years and if anything good came from my heart attack it was giving up smoking. It was the best thing I ever did for myself and my family. I never realized how much it affected them. If it weren't for my guardian angel Ronny I wouldn't be here today. He MADE me go to the hospital and I had my heart attack within 5 minutes of getting to St. Edwards. My family calls him our hero.
I'm not well traveled and really prefer the comfort of my home and family and friends at work. I have the most spoiled cat on earth and we just call him "Mr" Kitty (enough said) and we have a love/hate relationship!

I was very proud of my accomplishments in music. Making All-Region and All-State choir was a dream for me. Those were my best times.
