Comments:

Herman and I married in 1978. (He is a 1973 graduate of SHS. ) I graduated with my nursing degree in May, 1979, and then moved to Davenport, IA, where he was attending Palmer College of Chiropractic. We moved home to Ft. Smith upon his graduation and have lived here since. I worked labor and delivery at St. Ed's for 3 yrs, and have since worked in our chiropractic office. We now have 5 grandkids and our kids all live here. Jordan, our youngest, will be starting chiropractic college next year and plans to join our practice.

Herman and I attend Community Bible Church and have recently had the experience of helping to launch a new campus in Greenwood, AR. Our son-in-law, Frankie Post, is the campus pastor. It has been an eye opening experience to see a church start from the ground up and we've enjoyed making new friends.

Herman and I have been married 31 years and I am often reminded of how blessed I am to have him as my husband and friend. We are still in love. . . he's the best.

Our son, Wesley, is service manager at Marketplace Grill here in Ft. Smith. Maybe you've seen him there-his smile can light up the place.

Our daughter,Susanna, just moved home last August, after living away since she married. She was that "perfect daughter" who worked hard and did everything we asked of her. She just blessed us with grandbaby #5, little Hallie Jordan, who turned one month old last week. Her firstborn was named after her other brother, Hayden Wesley.

We have been so blessed to have three great kids and have loved being parents to them. We are enjoying the grandparenting also, but have discovered that this "empty nest" thing is not so bad. We got pregnant with Susanna after just 5 months of marriage so we never had much honeymoon time. We are enjoying coming home to a quiet house after a long day at work - if all the kiddos aren't there to greet us which often happens!

I have a little sign in my kitchen window that simply states "Life is good," and so it is.

School Story:

Will never forget the unidentified streaker at the homecoming parade-who I think was Mike Bolin!
